Summer HeyDay Gathering
Murder and Intrege


The PCs are invited to attend the heyday gathering of the viking youth from the surrounding five villages. It is an event useful for making new friends and rivals as well as a wife or husband.

A Christian Missionary shows up in the village and his faith is tested by Lady Kos. The test is to bring her a white hot iron unburned. The missionary failed and was killed.

The gathering when fowl however Guthrom was accused of murdering a girl from the Hammerholm village. It is believed by the PCs that it was Stein who was responsible but it was never proven.

Gabriel won the wrestling contest against Glum which lasted many hours. Gabriel meet Thorhalla from the village of Sumerland and developed a liking for her.

Grimheld meet the old runemaster, Aki, who taught her two runes.

Ulf got his arm broken early by Glum and Raknar meet his wife.

Guthrom killed Fjot defending himself from the murder charges. This has created a great rift between his village and Hammerholm.

Spring Fever
The White Wolf


The adventures began on a mushroom induced vision quest lead by Grimhild. The PCs fought a skeletal wolf which attacked them in their group dream. Later that week Swanhild, Gabriel and Grim came across a rabid white wolf while hunting which they quickly brought down.

Guthorm takes a group of young fighters and steals the village’s ship to go raiding locally. The Earl’s wife was very displeased with this.

During their an adventurous spring in the village, the PCs fought off a surprise boar wildmen attack on the village. Swanhild covered with arrows as Grimhild and Gabriel formed the back line of the shield wall, responsible for killing the wildmen the shield wall let through. Luckily the characters were victorious holding the wildmen off with with the help of the farmer Olf’s orders and the herder Brynhild’s bow cover. Over eighty wildmen laid dead after the battle with no causalities from the village. Thorstien was badly hurt but recovered.


The Earl’s wife threw a feast in their honor for defending the village.

After helping with a dire rat invasion of Eyolf’s shed and Gabriel’s foolhardy bear wrestling (in which Grimhild caught a claw across the face), the players sailed to the village of Islehelm to help the Lady Earl Hallfrid defend against a savage group of wolf wildmen. Many of the Earl’s were sick from wolf bites and Grimhild was unable to treate them. The leader of the wildmen turned out to be a white wolf shape changer but the PCs saved the village from their ravages of with a tactical ambush involving fire. By the fates the shape changers only weakness was fire. Borgar was badly injured during the battle.

They hunted down a small whale to help feed the starving village though Grimhild almost drown during the hunt.


Aesa had to go on a diplomatic adventure with Ulf and Hervard to settle a blood feud created during the raiding by her brother Guthorm.

World of the Viking


The players start as whelps left behind to guard the farms while the Earl takes his boats down to Denmark to trade then West to raid the foreign lands. It is spring and the player will have an entire year accumulate trade goods. If they can prove themselves during the Earl’s absence, he may take them raiding next year.

The PCs all own some land and live in a farmhouse but they are welcome to choice a Lapp hut. The Earl lives in a Trelleborg -style barracks.

It is spring so there is much farm work to be done but there seems to always be free time for hunting and training.

Social Background:

The PC and major NPCs form a drengr, which is a gang of youths who are sworn to one another.

Each player should choose a one friend, one ally and one rival from the from the possible PCs or 1st level NPCs. These people with help and honor the PC more then other people in the village except for the rival which will do the opposite. The allies, friend and rival may also be a part of the PCs drengr. This NPC list many also serve as backup characters should your PC come by a early ascent to Valhalla.

Note: Some PC already start with extra allies or rivals due to storyline so it is possible to have more then two friends, allies or rivals. Be sure to record this on your character sheet. You will gain and lose allies, friends and rivals during game play according to your actions.

Then prepare the PCs for a day of training with a few close friends.
